summer time flowers...

stamps:bloomin' marvellous (sale-a-bration) from stampin' up!, everyday greetings from wild rose studio, for her sentiments (set 20) from lili of the valley
inks: archival ink pads (chrome yellow, venetian orange, vermillion & sap green), ice grey1 promarker
cardstock: craftwork cards digi cardstock, 6x4" card blank
punch: bitty butterfly punch from stampin' up!
extras: adhesive gems

first i cut a mat of digi cardstock to fit my card blank. I stamped the flowers in the different colours and added in leafs in between. I used a scrap of digi cardstock to stamp two butterflies , which I punched out. I bend these slightly and ( only using tape in the centre) glue them onto my card. I added extra dimension to the leaves and flowers by using the promarker to add shadows.  I inked the card blank in orange, then used the same coloured ink to stamp my two sentiments in either corners.
i glued the mat on to the card blank and added a final bit of sparkle with some adhesive gems, on a few of the flowers.

lacey butterfly...

stamps: for her sentiments (set 20) from lili of the valley
inks: archival (coffee) ink pad
cardstock: sultry paper pad from basic grey
dies: butterfly from tattered lace

I cut a mat of pink card and layered it with a darker pink, to create a small border. I added a strip of patterned paper, which I stamped a sentiment onto, in the centre. I cut a green strip into a banner, then added both strips to the card. I die cut the butterfly and glued it in place, following the sketch. I think this is a pretty card great for summer time birthdays.

fairy friends ...

stamps: friends forever from lili of the valley and for my family by stampin up!
inks: memento ink pad (tuxedo black), tim holtz distress ink pads (shabby shutters and warm lipstick) sakura micron pen and promarkers
cardstock: craftwork cards digi cardstock and a 5x5 card blank
extras: self adhesive pearl and liquid pearls (white opal)

I chose a cute fairy image to make a birthday card for my sister. I cut the matt to fit the card blank and doodled my border using the sakura micron pen. i then stamped the image and coloured it using the promarkers (to match the paper players colour challenge). I used the tim holtz distress ink to colour the card blank and added my matt. I hand shaped a banner with the sentiment stamped on, then glued it onto the card and embellished with an adhesive pearl. the final touch was some liquid pearls on the wings and the antennae for that extra magical feel.

cheery chocs !!

cardstock: DCWV 'all about boys' paper stack, craftwork cards digi cardstock and a 6x6 card blank
inks: memento ink pad (tuxedo black), tim holtz distress ink pad (spiced marmalade), sakura micron and promarkers

I cut a matt in digi cardstock to fit the cardblank. I drew a border around the matt freehand, using the sakura micron pen. I then stamped the image and coloured it using promarkers, (picking out the colours from the paper). the paper was cut into a banner shape. the sentiment was stamped, die cut and edged with the distress ink to layer onto the banner. I inked the card blank using tim holtz distress ink and stuck down the layers, following the sketch.

decorating delight !!

stamps: a lick of paint from lili of the valley
inks: memento (tuxedo black) ink pad, promarkers
cardstock: born to shop go green paper pad, kraft 5x7 card blank plus extra cardstock, craftwork cards digi cardstock
dies/ punches: banner punch from stampin' up! ticket framelit dies from sizzix
extras: paint sample book

I chose a selection of coordinating papers and some paint colour swatches. I cut the various matts and layered them onto the cardblank. the paint colour samples were punched to shape them into banners and added to the card following the sketch. the topper was stamped and coloured in promarkers, to match the colour scheme. I die cut the image out and added it to the card using foam pads to create some dimension. I think the paint colour samples work really well for this image, for a quirky embellishment on a mans card !!

summer church...

stamps: summer church and set 27 vintage labels- occasions from lili of the valley
inks: sakura micron pen, promarkers and memento (tuxedo black)
cardstock: craftwork cards digi cardstock and a 6x4 landscape kraft cardblank

I cut the matt to fit the cardblank. the border was drawn freehand with the sekura pen. I then stamped the image and sentiment using the memento ink pad. I chose pretty spring shades of promarkers to colour the image. i also used promarkers to enhance the sentiment, with two subtle colours used around the border. I added a matching matt of digi cardstock with the hand drawn border to create an insert. i think it makes for a pretty and simple card perfect for a christening at this time of year !!
