thankyou sunshine!

  • Altenew- hello sunshine
  • Avery Elle- tag for all die
  • Lawn fawn- large dotted rectangle stackable
  • Neenah classic crest cardstock
  • Copics- R81, 83, 85. RV91. V01, 12, 15. Y08, 15, 17, 18, 38. YG03, 05, 23, 25. G02, 12. 0.
  • Memento ‘tuxedo black’ ink pad
  • Brilliance ‘star lite silver’ ink pad
  • Silver Miri & black cardstock
  • Metallic silver thread

I used the floral image stamps to create my background. I die cut this using a largest rectangle die. I coloured my images with copics. I also used a silver ink pad and the tiny image to fill in some of the spaces between the flowers.
I looped the silver thread and placed it in the corner of my card panel. I die cut the ‘thankyou’ first from black cardstock and glued it in place, (this also holds the thread in place). I then die cut the words from silver Miri cardstock and glued this on top, slightly off set to create a shadow.
Since I am posting this card I wanted to keep it quite flat, but felt it benefited from the slight dimension of the words and thread.

  • W plus 9- beautiful bouquets ranunculus
  • Avery elle- with sympathy die
  • Hand written background stamp (not sure which brand)
  • Archival'jet black & sepia' ink pad

I stamped the hand written stamp on to the cardblank. I cut a panel of watercolour cardstock to fit the card, leaving a border along the folded edge to reveal the stamped cardblank. I stamped the floral image at the side, slightly over the edge. I coloured this with watercolour markers and water. I glued this panel onto my card blank. I die cut the sentiment from Kraft cardstock and glued in position to complete the sketch.

With sympathy

  • W plus 9- beautiful bouquets:mums
  • Avery elle- with sympathy die
  • Dealer Rowney-aqua fine smooth watercolour cardstock
  • Archival 'jet black' ink pad
  • SU! 'tangerine tango, real red, pear pizzazz, tempting turquoise' ink pads
  • Kraft cardstock
I cut a mat of watercolour cardstock to fit my card blank, leaving a slight border. I stamped my floral image over to the side of the card. I watercoloured using the ink pads, then attached to my card blank. I die cut the sentiment from Kraft cardstock 4 times and layered them up, before adding on to the card. This is a simple but pretty card with a little dimension on the sentiment. Although the colour palette is brighter than I would normally choose for a sympathy card, I think it creates a more modern look.

Big Bouquet...

  • LOTV 'Big Bouquet' stamp
  • mama elephant: Madison avenue framed tags
  • Tim Holtz distress inks: 'tumbled glass', 'worn lipstick', 'carved pumpkin'
  • copics: W00, 0, 2, 4. R000, 00. R85, 83, 81. YR 02, 01, 000. R05. B0000. YG25, 03, 01, 21, 0000
  • wink of stella 'clear' glitter pen
  • sekura glaze pen
  • 6x4 white vertical card blank
I inked up a piece of white card, blending the three colours together. I then die cut this to create the frame. I centred the image stamp on the card blank and coloured it with copics. I added the frame to the card using foam for dimension. I completed the card with glitter pen on the flowers and glaze pen on the eyes. I've kept this one nice and simple to make the most of the fresh spring colours and cute image.
