falling leaves...

inside

stamps: love& sympathy and French foliage from stampin up!
inks: archival ink pad (jet black), tim holtz distress ink pads (brushed corduroy, rusty hinge, mustard seed, antique linen & peeled paint)
paper: craftwork cards digi cardstock & black 4x6" card blank

i thought i would share some sympathy cards with you. I have done this one on a seasonal theme, sticking to an autumnal colour scheme and leaves for imagery. the front is layered in a scattered layout, inking once to stamp several times to fade the colour for a softer edge. the light cream distress ink around the edges of the card also add to the softness. the black message and border around the matt just finish things off.
the inside is kept simple, edged with cream distress ink, a single leaf stamped for continuity and the sentiment.

although sympathy cards are not the easiest to make, i feel that it is important to show your support in the sad times. a card isn't just for celebrations, it can also be a way to send a heartfelt message to show you care.
