dotty about mushrooms!!

because it is the last ever challenge from the seize the sketch blog I knew I had to make a card. It is my friends birthday coming up and as she loves mushrooms, I knew the stamp out of the everybunny set would be perfect. because the image is a small stamp this sketch showed it off perfectly...

for my card i used a 5x5 red card blank, craftwork cards digi cardstock, archival ink in carnation red and tuxedo black memento. the stamp sets were all from stampin' up!, every bunny, petite pairs and distress dots. I also used sizzix circle framelit dies, promarkers and a bit of white ribbon

I cut a piece of card slightly smaller than my card blank to create my mat and stamped it with the background dots in red. I used a circle die to form my apertures. the ribbon was added at the bottom of the mat and the end was taped on the reverse to make a neat finish, this was then glued on to the card blank using foam pads.  I used an off cut of the digi cardstock to stamp my mushroom image and cut this out using a smaller circle die from the set, I then coloured the image using promarkers. I stamped the sentiment on to another piece of card and die cut it in the same way. I used double sided tape to glue these in to the middle of the apertures. I made a matching insert with the main image in the bottom corner, to give the card a professional finish.

say it with flowers...

this is the first card I have made in my new craft room. the craft room is by no means finished and tidy but usable all the same (I will take pictures once I have finished decorating and have unpacked fully)

I have used a 6x4 white card blank, coffee archival ink pad, express yourself stamp set from stampin' up! the paper flowers and buttons were from my stash and the patterned papers were bits out of my scrap drawer...
I cut the patterned paper to the right sized mats and cut the smaller piece into a banner shape. I then inked the edges, glued the mats down and stamped my sentiment underneath, following the sketch. I choose some paper flowers and buttons in colours to match the patterned papers. I arranged them and when I was happy, I glued them all on to the card.

merry chirstmas man !!

stamps: loads of love from stampin up!
inks: memento ink pad (tuxedo black), archival ink pad (olive), promarkers, copic and sakura micron pen
cardstock: 6x4 landscape kraft card blank, neenah desert sand (for the matt) and red paper from my stash

I stamped the truck into the corner of my matt and coloured it in using my promarkers and copic pens. I then masked off the truck to add the tree in green, using the stamp-a-ma-jig to line it up so it sits inside the truck. following the sketch, I also stamped the message directly onto the matt. to complete the design, I added a freehand border using my sakura micron pen and then matt and layered with red onto the card blank. I think this simple but quirky card works perfectly for a more masculine take on Christmas.

pretty purple panels !!

stamps: cardio stamps pretty impatiens
ink: archival ( leaf green and deep purple)
card: 6x4 white card blank and craftwork card digi cardstock
other: papermania button and bakers twine

I masked out 3 panels on my cardstock following the sketch. I then stamped the flowers, creating depth by stamping the image multiple times after each inking. I then filled in the spaces with the green leaves using the same technique. after removing the masking tape to reveal the panels, I matted this card onto a piece I had inked in the purple. I tied twine around the topper with a green button fastened with a bow for embellishment. I then glued this onto the card blank for a neat finish. for that extra special touch, I decorated the envelope, to co-ordinate with the card, using the same stamping techniques with the flowers and leaves.
