Adrenaline rush part 2

  • Kanban 'adrenaline rush' paper craft toppers
  • DCWV Fresh floral stack
  • Black & white spot paper (old one from the scrap box)
  • Silver mirri card
  • 7x7" card blank
I created a layout using two of the toppers with a frame from the collection. I then found two different dotty papers to coordinate. I mat and layered the orange spot onto silver mirri card to leave a white border on the card front. I then trimmed the black spot to fit as a band going down the card. With the toppers, I arranged them onto the card front and glued down with varied depths of foam pads to add more dimension to the card. I completed the front with the sentiment in the top corner, overlapping the circle frame to link it into the design. I think this is a nice bold design perfect for a birthday boy!!

adrenaline rush

  • Kanban 'adrenaline rush' paper craft toppers
  • Stamping up! Teeny tiny sentiments stamp set
  • Paper mania 'happy days' paper stack (& coordinating colours from my scrap box)
  • Silver mirri card
  • 5x7" card blank
I chose coordinating papers and cut them, following the sketch layout, to fit the card front. I stamped the sentiment onto the red band, before gluing the layers down. I added the topper in position using foam pads for dimension to complete this simple men's card.

baby christening

for the card:
  • LOTV- baby christening
  • LOTV- for her sentiments
  • LOTV- vintage labels occasions
  • tattered lace- circle dies
  • LOTV- country lady paper pad
  • memento 'tuxedo black' ink pad
  • Neenah classic crest cardstock
  • copics- skin:E50,51,21,93. window:E31,43,55,57,59.BG70. dress:Wo,1,2,3. pink:R81,83,95,56.RV91. green:YG93
  • kraft cardstock
  • vintage lace ribbon
  • paper roses

I cut my background papers to size and glued the top section directly to the card blank. I added ribbon to the top edge of the second piece, securing the ribbon ends on the reverse, then glued this onto the front of my card blank. I stamped and coloured my main image on Neenah cardstock, then die cut into a circle. I diecut a larger circle from kraft to mat and layer. I created a custom sentiment by combining several stamps and masking off certain sections to create the saying I wanted. I die cut this into a smaller circle and again matted with a larger kraft layer. Once all of the elements were prepared, I decided on my floral arrangement. As I was using paper roses on wires, I put small holes into the toppers where I would need them and pushed the wire through. I added a small amount of glue directly beneath each rose, then for extra security, I taped the wire in place at the back of the topper.(If you were using flowers without wires or prefer to cut the wires off, you would attach the topper to the card then simply glue the flowers on using hot glue or silicon glue gel.) Finally, I added the completed toppers to my card using foam for dimension.

for the box:
  • a3 kraft cardstock
  • lawn fawn- Finley's ABCs
  • LOTV- country lady paper pad
As the flowers are raised from the card, I made a simple box with lift off lid to fit my card perfectly, instead of an envelope. I then decorated the lid with die cut letters to spell out the name, using the left over paper from the card. I think this adds an extra personal touch and a professional finish.

Christmas couple

  • Hunkydory Snowy season luxury card collection: Christmas couple
  • Hunkydory adorable scorable cardstock
  • White ribbon
  • A5 white card blanks

  • For the first card, I cut the snowflake cardstock to cover the card front. I then tied a bow in the ribbon and wrapped this around the cardstock, before I glued it to the card to hide the cut ends and keep it all neat. To create space to allow the image topper to stand out, I die cut an oval from a coordinating plain lilac cardstock to sit inside the frame. I glued the image down onto the die-cut panel using low foam pads. I added the sentiment frame, raised on deeper foam to create dimension and edge the lilac panel. I glued this in position on the card front above the ribbon. I cut the insert down with the coordinating couple image and glued this inside to complete the card.
    inside
To create the second card, I used the lilac cardstock which complimented the snowflake paper and frame to soften the design. I pieced together the card front with the lilac panel at the top and a strip of the snowflake cardstock beneath. I covered the join with the border strip from the collection. I then glued the image and frame central to the top panel and added the sentiment topper to the middle of the snowflake panel, all using foam pads. Again, I finished the card with an insert, trimmed down to fit neatly inside.

    Merry Christmas my deer

    • Hunkydory festive elegance luxury card collection: Merry Christmas my deer
    • Hunkydory essential book of Christmas sentiments
    • Silver & rainbow mirri card
    • clear acetate
    • Pinflair ice diamonds sprinkles
    • doodlebug lily white glitter
    • 7x7", 6x6" & 5x5" card blanks
For this 7" square card, I created a shaker using a topper and frame from the collection. I mat and layered the card front with rainbow mirri and patterned cardstock. I then added the topper image onto the card, glued down flat. I cut acetate to fill the frame and sealed with foam tape. I added a mix of the pinflair sprinkles and doodlebug glitter onto the topper for the shaking element. I positioned the frame on top complete the shaker element. The little sentiment was added to the top corner on foam pads to complete the card. For the inside, I trimmed the insert to fit inside with the printed sentiment.
    inside

I used the remaining patterned cardstock to create this little 5" square card. I turned the paper so the border ran across the front and trimmed to cover the card blank. I added the deer image and sentiment toppers to the card which I made flat for posting. I trimmed the matching piece of insert down to complete the inside too.
    inside

For the 6" square card, I matt and layered the silver mirri and patterned cardstocks onto the card front. I then positioned the topper with the deer onto the front, so the snowline continued from background to topper. I completed the front with a sentiment from the essential book.

The final card was created to feature the printed deer from this patterned cardstock. I simply trimmed it down to fit the 5x5" card, with a matt of silver mirri and finished with an essential book sentiment.

    Christmas Cottage...

    • Hunkydory festive elegance luxury card collection: Christmas cottage
    • Hunkydory little book of snowy scenes
    • Hunkydory essential book of Christmas sentiments
    • silver mirri cardstock
    • clear acetate
    • 6"x 6" & A5 card blanks
For the first A5 card, I cut the patterned cardstock to fill the front of the card blank. I then added the toppers to sit around the printed houses, glued with foam for dimension. I took the coordinating insert and trimmed this down to sit inside.

    inside
For the square card, I trimmed down the remaining patterned cardstock and layered this onto mirri to fill the card front. I then positioned the little topper with the image and message in the sky using foam pads. Again, the inside of the card was finished off with the insert, trimmed to fit neatly.

    inside
For this A5 card, I used the patterned cardstock, trimmed to fit the card with the centre gutted to make the most of the piece. I then matted a little book image onto mirri to create a topper. This was glued down with a coordinating sentiment topper from the set. To finish the inside, I added the floral insert, cut down to show the sentiment.

    inside

For the final A5 card, I replaced a large section of the card front with acetate. I covered the inside of the card blank with the remaining piece of floral insert. To complete the front, I cut a section of the patterned cardstock and edged it with mirri, to create the border edge covering the join between card blank and acetate. I then carefully glued the topper image, frame and sentiment (from the essential book) in place on the front of the acetate.

    • 6"x6" white cardblank
I followed the sketch layout to create this pretty card for a baby girl. I chose the paper and trimmed it down to create the border. I cut strips of silver paper to edge this top and bottom, before gluing flat to the card front. I stamped, coloured and die cut the image to coordinate. For the sentiment, I die cut the word, coloured it with copics and added glitter pen to make it sparkle. I glued the topper and sentiment into position to complete the card.

    party girl

    • hunkydory tots to teens card collection: party girl
    • hunkydory tots to teens little book
    • hunkydory essential book of 2016 sentiments
    • Tattered lace- 'large numbers' dies
    • gold mirri, pink, teal and black adorable scorable cardstock
    • pink ribbon
    • A5 (black), 8x8", 5x7", 6x6", 6x4" card blanks
For the 8" square card, I cut down a piece of patterned card to matt on gold mirri for the front of the card. I added the large image topper and positioned the sentiment topper to overlap. I added the matching insert to complete the inside too.

    inside

I used the spare border from the cardstock to trim the top of this 6x4" card. I used some teal cardstock beneath and added coordinating ribbon to cover the join. I then placed the little image topper with the sentiment tag staggered on the front. I added a bow tied in the same ribbon to cover the hole in the top of the sentiment tag to finish.

Using the remaining off-cut of patterned cardstock, I made this simple 6x4" card. I covered the front with gold mirri and trimmed the cardstock down to layer on top. I completed the design with a sentiment topper glued on with foam pads.

I designed this card using the circle image topper and a coordinating sentiment. I layered these onto soft pink cardstock, trimmed with a piece of the balloon cardstock below. I covered the join between the two cardstocks with the sentiment border from the collection.
I used the remaining border to add a sentiment to this simple card. I used more of the soft pink card to matt onto the card front. I layered the little book image with gold mirri card and centred this on the card front, before adding the border across.

I made this A5 card using a black card blank to bring out the little black dress on the topper. I cut the balloon cardstock to leave a small edge of black on the card front and gutted the centre to save the cardstock which would be covered by the topper, before gluing onto the card. I matted a little book page onto gold mirri, then layered onto black cardstock to create the topper. I completed the front with a '21' die-cut from the same gold mirri card and added a section of insert to finish the inside.

    inside
I used a strip of the remaining balloon cardstock to create a decorative border on a square card. I edged the balloons with gold mirri next to the little book image and completed with a coordinating sentiment from the essential book. I had enough cardstock and little book pages to make 2 more of this design to complete the collection.

    • hunkydory birdie blossoms luxury card collections: beautiful blue bird (& a sentiment from the 'home sweet home' collection)
    • silver mirri card
    • DL, 6x4", 6x6" & 8x8" white card blanks

For the largest square card, I cut the patterned card down and layered on silver mirri to fill the card front. I then positioned the image and sentiment toppers onto the front, using foam to add dimension.
I used the remaining cardstock to create this DL card. I simply covered the front with the patterned cardstock and added the three smaller toppers in the middle.
For the smaller square card, I matt and layered the front with the silver mirri card and a section of the half a sheet of patterned cardstock. The image and sentiment toppers completed the front.

For the 6x4" card, I added the remaining strip of patterned card onto the front with a mirri edge to the top and bottom. I used the last image topper from the set, glued down on foam, alongside a sentiment from the 'home sweet home' collection.

    • hunkydory the little book of charming chaps
    • hunkydory essential book of sentiments
    • bazzill bling: cream cardstock
    • white 5 x 7" card blank
I followed the sketch to create this simple birthday card, making the most of the ready to use images and sentiments in the hunkydory books. I cut the topper sheet across the border line to create the split background. I trimmed a piece of cream cardstock to cover the front of my card blank, then positioned the topper pieces and glued these down flat. Finally, I added the message overlapping the topper to complete the sketch and add some dimension, by using foam pads to stick it down.

    • Papermania- black/white baker's twine
    • Archival 'jet black' ink pad
    • Versamark 'frost' dazzle ink pad
    • Black, white and teal cardstock
To create the watermark background, I stamped my floral images on to the teal card stock using versamark. I have the dazzle version of this ink pad so it gives a slight shimmer without being over powering. I trimmed this down to fit my card blank, leaving a slight border. I then wrapped twine around my panel and tied in a knot.
I stamped my sentiment on to white card and die cut into a circle. I die cut a slightly bigger black cardstock circle and layered with the sentiment matt. I attached the circle sentiment using foam, positioned off to one side of my card to follow the sketch. I added the completed panel on to a white card blank, again using foam for dimension. To finish, I added the coordinating sentiment inside the card.

I stamped and coloured my image using copics. I then used my misty to position the sentiment stamp beneath, to fit within the circle die. I then added a trim of sequins across the join. I layered the image on top using foam for dimension and to help it sit smoothly across the sequins, by not adding foam along this line. Finally, I added glitter the her wings for that added touch of detail.

I added an edge of blue to the panel using my copic. I then cut some glitter tape to the length of my card, shaped it with a small scalloped edge diecut and glued on to my card. I coloured my ribbon with pink copic pen for a perfect match, then tied it around my panel and secured it with a bow. For the topper, I stamped my cake image and coloured with copics. I cut a circle of vellum using one of the stitched edge dies. I also die cut the sentiments from white glitter cardstock. For the image, I stamped the presents onto several different papers, which coordinated with the background matt. I then fussy cut these out and paper pieced them together, to give the effect of different wrapping on each of the presents. • sakura micron '01' pen
    • white funky foam
    • white cardstock

I cut a piece of cardstock slightly smaller than my card blank to form a matt. I created a sky background using shades of blue ink and a mask (I created my own mask using the landscape die to form the clouds). I arranged 4 different sized circle dies according to the sketch and die cut them from the matt. I edged each aperture on the matt using a micron pen to create faux stitching. I also stamped a sentiment in the bottom corner of the matt, following the sketch. I temporarily placed my matt onto the card blank, then glued each cut out circle down onto the card blank in its original position. I removed the matt from the card blank and prepared my images.
I stamped, coloured and die cut my dragon images. Since you only see the top half of the dragon and the rest is trimmed off to fit neatly behind the apertures, I only coloured the areas which would be seen. I used the 0 copic marker to add texture/ scales to the dragons. On the reverse of the sky matt, I glued each dragon behind a circle so they were peaking through. I added funky foam (you could use foam tape instead) to the entire back of the matt, then glued in position on my card blank, ensuring all the circles lined up.
