Congratulations toast...

  • SU!- making spirits bright
  • Mama elephant- 'union square' framed tag creative cuts
  • Paper smooches-congratulations die
  • Memento 'tuxedo black' ink pad
  • Copics- E40,81. BG70. C00.
  • Wink of stella 'clear' glitter brush pen
  • Ranger glossy accents
  • White card
  • Cream glitter card
  • Bronze sequins
I cut a matt of glitter card to fit my card blank. I then cut a matt of white card to sit on top and stamped my image in the centre. I coloured this with copics, then added a clear glitter to make the bubbles glisten, followed by a layer of glossy accents to add shine to the glasses. Whilst this dried, I created the shaker element. I die cut the aperture from the centre of a matt of white cardstock. I then added a piece of acetate to the back of this panel and edged this with foam tape (making sure there will be a full seal with no gaps for sequins to escape!) I made sure the glossy accents were dry, before adding a neat pile of sequins on top. I then positioned the shaker frame onto the card, trapping the sequins in place. To complete the card, I die cut a sentiment from the glitter card and added this across the front of the shaker.

Uptown girl...

  • Stamping bella-mason uptown girl opal the optimist
  • Sentimentally yours- elegant milestone birthday
  • LOTV- timeless Victorian paper
  • SU!- finishing touches edgelits
  • Neenahclassic crest cardstock
  • Memento 'tuxedo black' ink pad

  • atyou spica glitter pens - clear, sand and black
  • Clear self adhesive gems and paper flowers (unknown brand)
I took inspiration from the sketch and decided to create an alternative shaped card by cutting the front off at an angle. To do this, I measured 1cm in from two corners on the front of my card blank and drew a diagonal pencil line across to help line up my edge die. I die cut along the line to shape the card with a decorative edge. I cut a mat of paper for both the inside and outside of my card blank and glued them down. I stamped and coloured my image with copics and touches of glitter to create the champagne bubbles and sparkly belt. I then stamped my sentiment onto another piece of card and used my paper trimmer to shape them into rectangles. I matted each of these onto the coordinating paper and glued them to my card, making sure the glue was only on the areas touching the card front and not on the overhang. I added paper flowers in matching colours and clear gems to complete the sketch with a touch of decoration and sparkle.

Onto the back of this, I added funky foam to create dimension and secured it to my card blank with tape and silicone glue. I added sparkle to the image to complete the card.

I also die cut the numbers from green and patterned card sticking them together offset to create a drop shadow effect. I then cut and matted my patterned paper, added the ribbon tied in a bow and glued onto the card. the image and numbers were stuck down with foam pads for dimension. finally, I added glittered accents to the image for that extra special feel.

50 cheers !!

stamps: abc-123 sketch alphabet & numbers, distressed dots, for my family & teen tiny sentiments from stampin up!, cheers bear from lili of the valley
inks: archival ink (chrome yellow), tim holtz distress ink pad ( faded jeans & squeezed lemonade), memento ink pad (tuxedo black), promarkers
cardstock: craftwork cards digi cardstock, 6x6" card blank
extras: ribbon

I started by inking my card blank in blue, along with some papers to use as matching matts. I then created the background paper by inking the whole sheet yellow, then randomly stamping the '50' around the page. the second backing paper was made using the same yellow, but this time with the dots background stamp onto the white cardstock. I then stamped my image, for the topper, and coloured him using coordinating promarkers. I cut the dotty paper and topper into tag shapes and matted them onto blue inked cardstock. I then punched holes at the top to thread some ribbon through to complete the tag effect. these were then placed onto the card, following the sketch. the first was stuck using double sided and the other raised on foam pads. the final step was to stamp the sentiment onto the dotty tag, in line with the topper, using the edge of the block to make the alignment easier.
