writing notes

  • Stampin up!- writing notes & colour me happy stamp sets
  • Lawn fawn 'blue jay'& 'lobster' ink pads
  • Memento ‘tuxedo black’ ink pad
  • Copics- R32. RV42. BG13,32. BG0000.01.02. B00. Y02,15,18. E23. C0.
  • Sakura glaze pen #849
  • Wink of Stella ‘clear’ glitter brush pen
I first cut a piece of card to cover the front of my card blank. I stamped this with the writing notes background stamp, using two colours to give the full note paper look. To do this, I carefully just inked up the lines I wanted red, stamped then cleaned my stamp and repeated with the blue. I used the Misti to help make sure it all lined up. If you didn’t have a Misti, it would be easier to just carefully apply both colours of ink to your stamp then stamp all at once.
I then stamped my bird image and sentiment in position on the card and coloured these using copics. I added glitter to the ‘thank’ and glaze pen to the ‘you’ and the birds eye. I think this just adds a bit of detail to a simple card.

  • Stamping up! Teeny tiny sentiments stamp set
  • Paper mania 'happy days' paper stack (& coordinating colours from my scrap box)
  • Silver mirri card
  • 5x7" card blank
I chose coordinating papers and cut them, following the sketch layout, to fit the card front. I stamped the sentiment onto the red band, before gluing the layers down. I added the topper in position using foam pads for dimension to complete this simple men's card.

'Tis the Season

  • Hunkydory snowy season luxury card collection: 'Tis the Season
  • White ribbon
  • DL, 5x7 & 6x6" white card blanks
For the first DL card, I made a feature of the printed image on the cardstock. I simply trimmed the cardstock to cover the card front and finished with a sentiment tag positioned over the border. I glued the tag down with foam and embellished with a bow tied in ribbon. I cut the insert down to centre the message inside the card.
inside
I created the square card using the remaining cardstock from this sheet. I covered the card front with the subtly patterned cardstock. I then added the coordinating border strip down one side. I positioned the topper image on foam pads and added the tag sentiment overlapping on deeper foam. I added a little bow tied from ribbon to complete. The image section of the insert was trimmed to fit inside to match the focal image on the card front.
inside

I used the three little toppers to make this DL card. I cut the swirl patterned cardstock to fill the card front. I then added ribbon down the centre of the card and secured behind the cardstock before gluing down. I positioned the toppers down the central ribbon, glued with foam pads and finished with a bow at the top. Again, I trimmed the insert down to centralise the printed sentiment inside the card.
inside

For the final card, I created a 5x7" design using the remaining cardstock and toppers from the collection. I used the swirl cardstock as a background and added the coordinating border strip for the front of the card. I then finished the design with the image and sentiment toppers, glued down with foam pads for dimension. I added the offcut of insert, trimmed down to fit inside to complete the card.

Selfies in the Snow

  • Hunkydory cute Christmas luxury card collection: Selfies in the Snow
  • Hunkydory essential book of Christmas sentiments
  • Hunkydory adorable scorable cardstock
  • silver mirri card
  • 7x7" & 5x7" portrait & landscape white card blanks
For the 7" square card, I mat and layered the card front with the patterned cardstock on silver mirri. I then arranged the frames and image topper at various angles and raised them up onto different depths of foam pads to create dimension. I completed the front with the sentiment, positioned on the printed border edge. I added the insert trimmed down to cover the inside of the card.
inside
I used the remaining cardstock for the portrait 5x7" card. I positioned the border to run vertical on the card this time, mat and layered onto mirri card. I then positioned the little square toppers and sentiment onto the card, all on angles and glued down with foam pads. I used the remaining insert to cover the inside of the card.
inside
I made a feature of the image printed on the other sheet of cardstock for the next card. I mat and layered onto silver mirri to fit the front of this 5x7" card blank. I chose a sentiment from the essential book to coordinate and glued this in place using foam pads for dimension.
For the final card, I arranged the remaining toppers and frame to create the design. I mat and layered the card front with mirri card and blue adorable scorable. I then glued the image topper on shallow foam pads in the centre. I added the frame raised up on deeper foam pads and overlapped the two with the sentiment in the corner.

O Holy Night

  • Hunkydory Christmas classics luxury card collection: O Holy Night
  • Gold mirri card
  • A5 & DL card blanks
For the first A5 card, I cut the cardstock down to cover the card front. ( I have saved the other half of the sheet to use with another topper or little book image later!!) I then simply added the image and sentiment toppers on foam pads for dimension. I trimmed the coordinating insert down to fill the inside of the card and add the little printed verse to finish the card.
inside
I created the DL card to make a feature of the printed panel on the second sheet of cardstock. I simply cut this to fill the card blank and placed the little sentiment over the printed border.
For the final card, I mat and layered the remaining cardstock onto gold mirri for the front of the A5 card blank. Again, I very simply glued the image and sentiment toppers in position using foam pads. I also cut the insert down to add the matching background and message to complete the card.

Deer winter wishes

  • Hunkydory snowy season luxury card collection: Deer winter wishes
  • silver mirri card
  • A5, DL, 5x7" & 5x5" white card blanks

For the A5 card, I mat and layered one half of the cardstock on silver mirri to fill the card front. I then simply added the image topper offset on the card, using foam for dimension. I trimmed down the insert to have the matching image inside with the printed sentiment.
inside

I cut the other end of the cardstock down to make this DL card. I mat and layered the tree image onto silver mirri and glued to the card front. I finished with one of the long thin toppers on foam pads. Again, I trimmed the matching insert piece down to fit inside.
inside

I used a section of the other printed cardstock in the collection to create this 5x7" card. I carefully cut the cardstock down to fill the card front, with the border running across the bottom of the card. I then added the image central to the main section of the card, with the sentiment overlapping the border edge. I added the coordinating insert to the inside of the card.
inside

For the first 6" square card, I made a feature of the decorative borders to enhance this topper. I began with the inside of the card, with a cut off border on the outer edge of the card, alongside a section of the insert. I cut away a reveal, then added the cardstock with the border to cover the remaining card front. I finished with the image and sentiment toppers on foam pads, leaving the gap for the sentiment to overhang the card front.
inside

For the final card, I pieced together the offcuts as a background. I covered the join between the cardstock with the coordinating border strip. To complete the card, I added the sentiment topper to one side of the border and centred the image topper on the other section, both raised on foam pads.

we three kings

  • Hunkydory festive elegance luxury card collection: we three kings
  • gold mirri card
  • A5 & DL cardblanks
For the A5 card, I mat and layered the card front with gold mirri and the patterned cardstock. I then layered the topper image using half of the decoupage pieces to add some dimension. I centred this onto the main panel of cardstock, with the sentiment topper centralised on the border strip.
I used the printed image from the offcut of cardstock to create this DL card. I layered this using the remaining decoupage pieces to add the mirri accents and dimension. I simply glued the cardstock onto a mat of mirri and positioned the circle sentiment topper on foam to complete the card.
I have a full sheet of patterned cardstock remaining from this collection, which I will used at a later date with the little book images, or coordinating toppers from other collections.

the winter village

  • Hunkydory snowy season luxury card collection: the winter village
  • Hunkydory essential book of Christmas sentiments
  • silver mirri card
  • DL & 7x7" card blanks
I created the first square card using the rectangular topper and frame. I covered the card front with the cardstock, placing the border down the folded edge. I then carefully positioned the image, frame and sentiment toppers on foam pads. I completed the card with an insert trimmed down to fit inside.
inside
For the DL card, I used the remaining cardstock with the printed image as the focus. I simply trimmed down the cardstock to mat and layer on silver mirri for the card front. I added a sentiment from the essential book and trimmed the coordinating insert down to complete the card.

inside

I used the circle topper and frame on the other cardstock in the collection to create this 7x7" card. I trimmed the cardstock down to sit with a small border of silver mirri on the front of the card. I then placed the topper and frame off centre, using foam to add dimension. I added the sentiment in the space beside it to complete the card. Again, I trimmed the insert down to fit inside the card.

driving home for Christmas

  • Hunkydory snowy season luxury card collection: driving home for Christmas
  • Hunkydory essential book of Christmas sentiments
  • A5 landscape & 6x6" card blanks
I created this landscape A5 card using the large topper from the collection. I cut the patterned cardstock in half and removed the snowy border. I then cut the striped border from the remaining half a sheet of cardstock. I added the main piece of cardstock to the front of the card and trimmed off the end of the card blank to reveal the inside of the card. I then added the other matching border inside the card, to sit neatly in the reveal. I used half of the decoupage layers on foam to add dimension to the topper. To complete the card front, I simply positioned the topper image along with an essential book sentiment raised up on foam pads.
For the second card, I made a feature of the printed image on the cardstock. I trimmed down the cardstock to fit the front of a 6" square card. I then layered on the coordinating border across the top, raised on foam. I also layered the car with the remaining decoupage pieces to give this dimension and mirri accents. I completed the card with the sentiment topper from the set in the space above the car and the insert trimmed to fit inside.
inside
I felt the best use of the toppers in this decoupage style collection was to make two nice cards. I still have a full sheet of cardstock left over from this collection, which I will use later with either the little book images or some extra toppers from other collections.

chatty chic

  • hunkydory especially for her luxury card collection: chatty chic!
  • hunkydory especially for her little book
  • gold mirri card
  • 3 6x6" & an A5 card blank
For the A5 card, I covered my card front with half a sheet of patterned cardstock. I then positioned the topper pieces with the central panel glued flat and the frame raised on foam pads. I added a sentiment topper onto the border of the background, to complete the front. I trimmed an insert down to fit inside and coordinate with the front of the card.

inside

I trimmed the remaining paper down to remove the pink border, leaving a floral trim along the base of the 6" square card front. I then cut a page from the little book down to create a square topper. I matt and layered the topper onto gold mirri and glued down on an angle. I positioned a sentiment topper in the bottom corner of the card front and added an insert to finish.

inside

With the other sheet of cardstock from the collection, I created another 6" square card. For this, I covered the card front with gold mirri cardstock. I then layered on the trimmed down patterned cardstock so the image filled the front. I simply finished with a sentiment topper on foam in the top corner and an insert inside.
inside
I created this final card using the remaining cardstock, insert and topper. I added the image section of the insert to the inside of the card blank. I then placed the border, (trimmed from the patterned cardstock) along the outer edge of the inside of the card. I cut away a section from the front of the card blank to reveal the panel inside. I covered the remainder of the card front with the patterned cardstock. I carefully positioned the topper and frame in the centre of the card, just overhanging the front edge, ensuring no glue spilt over onto the inside.
